Abuse report launch criticised

The Ryan Commission on Child Abuse is set to publish its report on abuse in children's homes next week after 10 years.

However, the details of the report's release have been criticised by interest groups, who say they are not being given an advance copy or time to prepare an appropriate reaction to its 2.30pm publication on Wednesday.

"Unlike other tribunals and commissions, the Ryan Commission is refusing to give an advance copy to us in the Aislinn Centre or any of the other survivor groups that have an interest in this report," a spokeswoman for the Aislinn Centre said.
