On Tuesday, the diocese added the name of the late Father Raymond Leveillee (Levay) to its list of credibly accused clergy.
Father Leveillee was a member of the diocese from 1950 to 2003, and he died in 2007.
The abuse reportedly took place between 1971 and 1974, when he worked at the former St. Patrick’s Parish in Hinsdale and the former St. Mathew’s Parish in Becket.
Father Leveillee was assigned to the following churches:
All Saints, Ware: 1950-1954
Holy Trinity, Greenfield: 1954
All Souls, Springfield: 1954-1955
Saint Mary’s, Orange: 1957-1960
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Springfield: 1964-1968
Our Lady of Hope, Springfield: 1968-1970
St. Mary, Orange: 1970-1971
St. Patrick’s, Hinsdale: 1971-1988
St. Mathew’s, Becket: 1971-1988
The Review Board carefully reviewed this allegation, including a report issued by the diocesan investigative team, to determine its credibility.
An additional credible finding was listed against the late Father Andre Corbin, as well as the late Father Placid Kaczorek, which included the use of inappropriate photographs of a minor.
