A former Roman Catholic priest found guilty of indecently assaulting a child will learn his fate next month.
Alexander Bede Walsh - who was known as Father Bede - was convicted of indecent assault against a child following a trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on January 13.
The pensioner indecently abused his victim at a church in Cheadle in the 1980s.
He was a well known figure in North Staffordshire as the priest of St Giles’s Church working in Cheadle from 1987 to 1999.
The defendant was also a chaplain and governor at Painsley Catholic College.
The 72-year-old, who was ordained in 1979, is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence at HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire for his previous sickening crimes.
He had carried out the attacks while working at children's homes and churches between the 1970s and 1990s.
Walsh re-appeared at the same court this month.
He is due to be sentenced on March 9.
He will be sentenced via a video link from custody.
