The event, part of the Leitrim Gathering, will take place on Sunday, June 29, at 3pm with the Eucharist celebrated by Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois Paul Connell and Fr Patsy McDermott

Situated 170 meters above sea level, the Tullynascreena Mass Rock provides a commanding view of the parish below, a crucial vantage point during times when Mass had to be celebrated in secret.
The landscape, characterised by its natural beauty and seclusion, provided cover for worshippers and a lookout against approaching threats.
A spokesperson for the event said, “The Tullynascreena Mass Rock stands as a poignant reminder of the resilience and faith of Irish Catholics during the oppressive Penal Laws era—spanning from the seventeenth to the early nineteenth century.
"These laws, imposed under British rule, prohibited Catholics from practicing their religion openly, owning land, accessing education, or holding public office.
"As a result, Mass was celebrated in hidden locations like Tullynascreena, where courageous priests, including Fr. McGovern O.F.,who is buried in Creevelea Abbey risked their lives to serve their communities.
"Many individuals continue to visit his grave, bringing clay for those who are ill in the hope of curing their ailments. Additionally, two scapulars associated with Father McGovern remain in the local area.
"Historically, parents would pass their children through these scapulars to alleviate whooping cough, and many reported that the illness vanished.
"One of these scapulars will be available at the mass rock on the day of the mass.”
