Father Federico Lombardi, the director of the Holy See Press Office,
has announced that parishioners in Rome will be
permitted to attend the Pope’s weekday Masses at Domus Sanctae Marthae.
“The parishes will be informed on how to apply by Cardinal Agostino
Vallini, vicar of Rome,” according to a Vatican statement.
“Since the
Holy Father cannot visit all the parishes in his diocese at the moment,
this initiative will ensure that at least some of the faithful of Rome
will be able to participate in Mass celebrated by their bishop.”
