Clerical Whispers...Posting Step By Step

Dearest friends, it has been interesting for me and hopefully for each and all of you, to be posting on this site, and it does indeed take a lot of work.

I do believe many of you are often curious as to how this happens so I will now outline this process for you all step by step hereunder....

1. The person in charge will begin a search for stories which are relevant so key words are entered into the search engine;

2. Stories are located which seem to be of relevance and interest, with a note made of its location;

3. The search then begins for at least 3 other confirming stories which will substantiate that already located;

4. If 3 sources other than the original are located then the story is noted as 'postable' and edited to encompass all possible details;

5. If however, it is not possible to corroborate the story, then it is not considered 'postable' and left aside until perhaps it does eventually have 3 independent sources or failing that, it does not make it to the blog;

6. The person who is in charge of the site then gets the story, locates the accompanying heading and picture which best represents the content and once cleared, is posted;

7. It must be stated that references to possible sources cannot be given as the story can be edited or interpreted to an extent that it would be impossible to quote source etc, but it is always done with careful consideration of ALL sources.

Each and every posting is subjected to intense scrutiny by the person in charge, but we do believe in free expression of ALL beliefs, opinions and comments so hence the disclaimer.

Not every single posting is ever complicit with dogma, tradition, teaching etc but this is not to say that such are disrespected either. All is posted here with the intent of causing you to reflect, contribute and perhaps even contribute.

Each posting in its own takes on average 10 minutes of work from moment it is definitely being posted to making it on to the system. Behind the scenes, there may be anything up to a week of work which would cover the sourcing, verification, locating pictures, and then ascribing headers to them.

Others can be posted more swiftly on a daily basis which certainly involves a little more work and can take up to 2 hours per day from beginning to end.

I certainly hope this explains the backroom work involved in posting to CW, and that you continue to enjoy the daily offerings hereupon.
