Most Reverend Martin Drennan, Bishop of Galway, and Apostolic Administrator of Kilfenora, has made the following Diocesan Appointments with came into effect from Friday, 18^th July 2008.

Dean Christopher O’Connor, PP, Craughwell, to be Pastor Emeritus.

Monsignor Seán O’Flaherty, PP, Cathedral, to be Dean of the Diocesan Chapter.

Canon Noel Mullin, PP, Claregalway, to be Vicar Forane, Galway Rural Deanery.

Canon Richard Tarpey, PP, Ennistymon, to be Assistant Priest, Ennistymon.

Canon Patrick Heneghan, PP, VF, Oughterard, to be Pastor Emeritus.

Canon Michael Kelly, PP, VF, Gort, to be PP, Craughwell.

Fr. Patrick Callanan, PP, Kilbeacanty/Beagh, to be a Canon of the Diocesan Chapter.

Fr. Francis Larkin, PP, Kinvara, to be a Canon of the Diocesan Chapter.

Fr. Richard Higgins, PP, Ardrahan, to be a Canon of the Diocesan Chapter.

Fr. Derek Feeney, PP, Kilchreest/Peterswell, to be PP, Ennistymon.

Fr. Thomas Marrinan, Chaplain, University Hospital, to be Parish Priest, Gort.

Fr. Conor Cunningham, Director, Diocesan Pastoral Centre, nominated for appointment as Chaplain to University Hospital.

Fr. Barry Horan, recently returned from Rome, to the Staff of Galway Regional Marriage Tribunal.

Fr. Michael Connolly, CC, Knocknacarra, to be CC, Bushypark.

Fr. Seán Laffan, MSC, PP, Ballinfoyle, recalled by his Congregation.

Fr. Augustine O’Brien, MSC, CC, Ballinfoyle, to be PP, Ballinfoyle.

Fr. Gerard Thornton, MSC, to be CC, Ballinfoyle.

Fr. James Walsh, CC, Oughterard, to be Administrator, Oughterard.

Fr. Thomas Brady, Chaplain, G.M.I.T., nominated for appointment as Chaplain to the Defence Forces, Dun Uí Mhaoilíosa, Renmore.

Fr. Brian Edwards, CC, Bushypark, nominated for appointment as Chaplain to Merlin Park University Hospital.
