Formerly a place of worship for the protestant (Church of Ireland) community and more recently, a venue for the performing arts (The Village Arts Centre), this building in the heart of Kilworth village is of historical and architectural importance.
Built circa 1720, it was enhanced during the 1880s, under the patronage of the Moore and Mount Cashel families.
The demise of these dynasties signalled a period of decline for the property and were it not for the efforts of Kilworth Community Council and the voluntary group who staged events in The Village Arts Centre, it could, like many of its counterparts, have fallen into disrepair.
