"It seems incredible ... but the Indonesian Camillians are in urgent
need of new spaces for their young religious and novices", says to
Agenzia Fides Father Luigi Galvani, MI, missionary in Flores.
"Fortunately - continues the missionary - the Superiors accepted the
request and therefore, on 22 December, the first stone of the Indonesian
Camillian Theologate was blessed. The new house of formation will have a
about twenty small rooms with toilets, library, chapel, dining hall and
other facilities. It is a real blessing for the delegation, "All things
are possible to him who believes".
Currently the Indonesian Camillian
Delegation, initiated in 2009, has five priests, a temporary professed,
two novices, five pre novices and about fifty seminarians of philosophy.
The Camillians in the island of Flores, in addition to the commitment
of formation, pastoral services in some hospitals of the city, manage
the diocesan office for malaria and have organized feeding centers for
needy children in some mountain villages.
