Fourteen priests have been
killed in various parts of the world since the beginning of 2013, the
most recent being on Wednesday in the town of Marano, in the northern
Italian Province of Trento, reports Vatican Insider.
Of these murders, four took place in Colombia, two were in Mexico and one each in Venezuela, Canada, Haiti and Brazil.
Asia has the second highest number of priests killed this year, although figures are much lower than in America.
One priest was murdered in India and the other in Syria.
Africa and Europe tail the list with one priest killed in Tanzania and the other in Marano.
