Madrid gay couple buy a flat from the Pope

When a devout Catholic woman left her home in Calle La Paloma, in Madrid, to Pope John Paul II, she probably didn't expect its future occupants to be a couple of homos.

But Alberto and Miguel Ángel are the new owners of the flat, sold to them by the Vatican (or rather, its Spanish ambassador) to raise a few bucks.

"The Church does not love us, but is happy to do business," the couple, married, says.

Moreover, relays Typically Spanish, the couple "now enjoy dinner parties showing the escrituras (deeds) of the flat with the name of the Pope."

Might we score an invitation?

We know of this delicious amuse bouche wafer.
