Following his November 13 Angelus address, Pope Francis recalled that
the thanksgiving holiday was celebrated on that day in Italy.
“I unite myself to the bishops in their desire that mother earth
always be cultivated in a sustainable manner,” he said to pilgrims in
St. Peter’s Square.
“The Church, with understanding and recognition, is
beside the world of agriculture and does not forget those who in various
parts of the world are deprived of essential gifts such as food and
water.”
