The Celebration of the Eucharist and the funeral rites for cardinal Martini will take place on Monday, September 3 at 16:00 at Milan's Duomo and will be presided by cardinal Angelo Scola, archbishop of Milan.
Cardinal Comastri, archpriest of St. Peter's Basilica and vicar for the Vatican, will be present in the quality of Papal envoy and will read the Pope's message during the co-celebration with cardinal Scola.
The faithful who wish to participate will be able to access the cathedral freely from 14:30 onwards (the Duomo will be closed from 11:30 to 14:30) till the Duomo reaches full capacity; large screens have been set up outside for the others.
