Police in Delaware have arrested a man they say stole a Catholic priest's car at gunpoint just outside the church where he is staying.

The Rev. Paul Williams tells The News Journal of Wilmington that he was moving his vehicle outside St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wilmington on Wednesday morning when a man pointed a gun at him.

Williams was not wearing his Franciscan habit when he was accosted.

The 62-year-old Williams says he thought the man was going to shoot him.

The gunman drove off in the car.

Police said two officers found Williams' car Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say officers waited and arrested a man who got into the car.

Nineteen-year-old Deiondre Travis of Wilmington has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
