Neocatechumenate leaders conclude conference in India

Leaders of the Neocatechumenate Way have concluded a 4-day meeting in Ranchi, India.

Cardinal Telesphore Toppo of Ranchi organized the 4-day meeting, which drew the participation of 6 bishops and 300 priests and members of the lay movement.

The theme for discussion at the meeting was a new drive for evangelization in India.

The Neocatechumenate Way has a recent history marked by controversy, with some prelates praising the group for its innovative approach to evangelization while others question the movement's fidelity to Catholic liturgical norms.
