Vandals seriously damaged several statues at Catholic parish churches
in Vineland, New Jersey in incidents reported on January 23 and 24.
The vandals apparently targeted the two churches on consecutive nights.
A
statue of St. Joseph was cut in half, another of St. Francis lost was
left armless, and several others badly harmed.
A spokesman for the
Camden diocese condemned the vandalism as “a violent act against the
statues and what they represent.”
