Asked
by reporters about the upcoming international trips of Pope Francis,
the director of the Vatican Press Office, Father Federico Lombardi, said
that the possibility of an Apostolic Voyage to Asia is being studied. Such a trip could include a visit to South Korea, on the occasion of the sixth Asian Youth Day, set to take place in August 2014.
Father Lombardi also said the Holy Father had been invited to visit Sarajevo, although no decision has yet been made.
Finally, Finally, another invitation concerns a possible trip to Sri Lanka and the Philippines, which is also being studied, although there are no plans for such a trip in 2014.
