Author Elisabetta Pique is
an Argentine journalist and friend of the pope whose book "Francis:
Life and Revolution," was previewed Saturday in the Italian weekly
Gente.
Pique compiled a collection of recollections from Francis'
old friends in Argentina and details of his new life in the Vatican as
head of the Roman Catholic Church, Italy's ANSA news service said.
The
book said Francis was an adept cook, particularly when it comes to the
South American dish paella. He starts his day with another regional
delicacy, the caffeine-rich "mate," when he gets up at 4:15 in the
morning.
At 5 p.m., he likes to recharge with a cappuccino from a
machine at the Vatican's St. Martha's House.
