With this plaque Bulgaria expresses its gratitude to late Pope John Paul II for giving Santi Vincenzo e Anastasio a Trevi for services of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church (BOC), Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said during his one-day visit to Rome, the government’s press service announced.While visiting the Italian capital, PM Borisov unveiled officially plaques of grateful acknowledgement in Santi Vincenzo e Anastasio a Trevi and Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore.
As a sign of acknowledgement and gratitude, the Bulgarian community in Italy elected the prime minister an honourable member of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church board in Rome.
