Festival Of Light

Sunlight is slowly starting to decline as we thank the Great Mother for her harvest.

It is now time to collect our Karma from the previous year - all the good and the bad - but it is a time to realise that there really isn't a good nor bad - there is only love - the Universe is so loving and supportive that everything we ask of is granted to us.

The festival of Lú is a time to think about your actions of the previous year - what sort of reality could you have attracted with those actions, thoughts or beliefs?

When we love ourselves and others we plant seeds of love and abundance - this festival asks you "What is your Karma?"

This is not a new concept nor is it just of one faith - the Bible says "They that plough iniquity and sow wickedness reap the same” – Job 4:8"

So lets decide to plant seeds of love today to celebrate Lammas - this is the time to thank the Universe for it's support and to celebrate that everything we ask is given to us - the good and the bad - God loves us so much that She supports our ever need - make your need be that of love - choose now to think only loving thoughts about yourself - the Bible says love thy neighbour as thyself - so make that effort now - say "I love and approve of myself just as I am - I now realise that there is a power much greater than me that is responding to every wish and thought in my mind - I now choose only loving thoughts during this harvest - I let the harvest of pain and suffering go and save the harvest of love - and so it is"

Sotto Voce: with sincerest thanks to Dave for this contribution which should serve as a reminder to us all that though we are many we are one...we all have a duty to respect and take account of our surroundings...
