A new church in west Belfast was dedicated last night by the Church of
Ireland Bishop of Down and Dromore Dr Harold Miller.
St Columba's, which was erected on the site of a former church bearing the
same name, has been built beside a 64-bed nursing home.
The new multi-purpose church will have a large groundfloor hall, and a
first-floor cafe. Its minister, Rev Dr Chris Easton, said: “This is a new
approach to try to rejuvenate a church, and to re-establish a worshipping
community.”
