Cardinals will meet in the Vatican's Apostolic Palace on Friday to vote on the pending causes of canonisation for six candidates, including Australia's Blessed Mary MacKillop, according to the Holy See's Press Office. Among other candidates to be given a final review at the February 19 meeting are Blessed Stanislaw Soltys, a 15th century Polish priest of the Canons Regular of the L
ateran and Blessed Andre Bessette, a Canadian religious of the Congregation of the Holy Cross, said the Catholic News Agency.
If the candidates are approved after the final review of their cases, the Pope will announce the official dates for their canonisations, the report adds.
