Taizé Youth Meeting to be held in Paris this year

The next European Taizé Youth Meeting will take place in Paris and the Île-de-France region from 28 December 2025 to 1 January 2026. 

This was announced by the Prior of the Taizé Community, Brother Matthew, on Monday evening in the Estonian capital Tallinn, the venue for this 2024's meeting. 

According to the announcement, the Archbishop of Paris, Laurent Ulrich, and the Catholic bishops of Greater Paris were joined by Protestant and Orthodox church representatives at regional and national level. 

The three presidents of the Council of Christian Churches of France, Bishop Éric de Moulins-Beaufort, Pastor Christian Krieger and Metropolitan Dimitrios, also signed a joint declaration. 

They emphasised that they were expecting the young people and young adults in Paris.

The 47th European Taizé Youth Meeting is taking place in Tallinn until 1 January. 

 Several thousand young people from more than 40 countries are taking part to pray together, discuss and meet local Christians. 

The annual meetings are organised by the ecumenical community of Taizé in Burgundy, France.
