Vatican moves towards sainthood for Kerala nun

Procedures for conferring sainthood on Kerala-born "Blessed" Euphrasia has gained momentum with Vatican signalling church authorities here to prepare official biography of the nun, who led an obscure life in a convent last century.

If Euphrasia is Canonised, she would be the second nun from Kerala to be elevated as Saint by the Catholic church after sister Alphonsa, who was declared a Saint two years ago.

The miracle attributed to Euphrasia, who lived at Ollur, is expected to be approved by Vatican.
