St. Petersburg Diocese violates agreement regarding sexual abuse

Martha Jean Lorenzo is a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of a member of the Catholic clergy.

She is also a member of The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests or SNAP

Lorenzo and other SNAP members work to protect children from pedophile priests and to hold the Catholic church accountable for their crimes against children and for their coverups of those unnatural and disgusting crimes.

On Thursday she was in front of the Diocese of St. Petersburg headquarters bringing attention to the fact that the Diocese of St. Petersburg did not keep their end of a bargain regarding notifying its parishioners about settlements reached regarding sex abuse by priests.

A recent settlement the diocese reached with a former parishioner who was sexually molested when he was 17 by Msgr. Norman Balthazar was not made known to parishioners by the diocese.

The diocese agreed to pay the victim $75,000.00.

A spokesman for the diocese, Frank Murphy, claims the diocese is not in violation of the agreement because the victim is no longer a child. This is typical of the Catholic church.

It does whatever it can to protect itself at the expense of innocent children and the truth.

They look for loop-holes to escape through so they will not be held responsible for their hideous crimes.

One diocese in Delaware actually filed for bankruptcy protection the day before a trial was to start brought by over 140 victims of the Catholic church and its sexually deviant child-molesting priests.

Since the church is morally bankrupt it should also be financially bankrupt as well.

Balthazar has a history of sexual problems. In 1991 he was arrested by the Tampa Police during a sex sting undercover operation.

A judge eventually dismissed the charges against him.

However, Balthazar told the media at the time, "I had too much to drink and was not in control of my senses."

Perhaps, as people see more and more that the "revealed" religions don't even work for their own clergy, they will begin to put a new value on their God-given reason instead of on the man-made holy books and dogmas which make up the various contradictory and anti-God-given reason "revealed" religions.
