St. Louis Archbishop Robert Carlson spent a long day on the stand
Monday, as he was called to testify in St. Louis Circuit Court on the
opening day of a trial concerning former Archdiocesan Polish parish St.
Stanislaus Kostka.
For much of the opening day, Archbishop Carlson was asked about the
structure of the Church and the governing documents of St. Stanislaus.
The suit was brought by the Archdiocese over the future of St. Stanislaus.
The civil trial is expected to last about three weeks.
Judge Bryan
Hettenbach still has yet to hear tons of testimony over every detail of
this case, which has lingered in the Archdiocese one way or another for
decades.
