The head of the Catholic Church in England and Wales says that about
50 Church of England priests have expressed interest in converting.
Five Church of England bishops opposed to the ordination of women
have already announced that they will join a new Catholic order where
they can serve as priests and retain some Anglican traditions.
Catholic Archbishop Vincent Nichols told a news conference on
Friday that his church was responding to requests, and was not
aggressively seeking Anglican converts.
