Angels Of God Come To Meet Her by Sr. Carmel Kehoe recounts her childhood in Wexford and her life in Clare, where she has worked as a teacher for several years.
It also contains reflections on issues such as community and the family, loneliness, alcoholism, guilt and suicide.
Sr Kehoe, who is a member of the St John of God Sisters, is currently a resource teacher at Scoil na Mainstreach in Quin, Co. Clare and received the Person of the Year award from Ennis parish two years ago for her work in her adopted county.
At the launch of the book, she said she had dedicated it to her family, neighbours and the children she had taught through the years because they had been, “a source of inspiration and blessing.”
Sr Kehoe trained as a primary teacher at Froebel College, Sion Hill and has diplomas in Catechetics and Counselling as well as a keen interest in Resource Teaching.
