Tommy Fleming to perform fundraiser for Pallottine Fathers

Sligo born singer Tommy Fleming is to perform in a County Kerry Church next week as a fundraiser for the Pallotine Fathers.

Tommy will perform in the Church of the Assumption in Moyvane in County Kerry on Friday July 9 in an event arranged by Pallotine third-year seminarian Sean Jones.

The concert is been held to raise money for the Pallotine Fathers as well as the Fr Gerry Roche Memorial Trust.

The Trust was set up following the horrific murder in Kenya of the Kiltegan priest and Athea native last December.

Proceeds from a raffle on the night will go to the Trust with the profits from the concert going to the Pallotine Fathers.

Speaking to The Kerryman newspaper this week Sean Jones said, “with his passing it was decided to set up a trust fund to raise finances in order to do something to remember the legacy left behind by this great missionary.”

He added, “this is still in the planning stages and many different ideas are being discussed/”

The concert will also be the last in Tommy Flemings Voice of Ireland tour.
