"Jesus of Nazareth, Part 2" in Spring 2010

The second part of Benedict XVI's "Jesus of Nazareth" is expected in the spring of 2010, according to a Vatican spokesman.

Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi told Rome Reports that the next part of the Pope's bestselling book should be ready in a few months.

It will cover the infancy narratives, passion and resurrection of Christ.

The first part of "Jesus of Nazareth" was published in April 2007.

It analyzes Jesus' public life, from his baptism to the transfiguration.

The Holy Father has been working on the second part of the treatise during his summer vacations.

Though he broke his right wrist during this year's vacation, he was able to bring forward his work on part two.

As the Pontiff explained in the prologue of the first part of "Jesus of Nazareth," the book "is in no way an exercise of the magisterium, but is solely an expression of my personal search 'for the face of the Lord.'"
