We are not going to deny that there have been priests who abused their positions and violated the confidence of our children. We are not going to deny what has happened was unjust.
Pope Benedict XVI will be facing a country that in fact has used the child sex scandal as an excuse to persecute the Catholic Church and the US Latin population since the Catholic Church was opposed to the war in Iraq from the beginning.
