A high profile Vatican cleric dismissed after he was exposed on broadcast media making advances to a young man apparently had a list of homosexual priests and bishops in the Roman Catholic Church's principal body, reports said on Friday.
Sixty-year-old Father Tommaso Stenico had "a detailed dossier" of all the homosexual Vatican clerics with a list of names and incidents involving these priests and bishops working at the Curia, according to a reporter in the news weekly.
Stenico, who was also engaged in a Catholic television station Telepace, drew up the said list out of disgruntlement at having waited in a long period to be honoured as bishop.
The publicized act of Stenico was shot through a hidden camera in his office proclaiming himself an "active homosexual" and was aired on October 1 in an Italian television station, showing two men with their faces blurred.
Meanwhile, Stenico claimed he had been cornered and had falsely said he was homosexual just "in order to unmask those who really are".
The Vatican suspended the priest last week and started a church inquisition.
