For 15th time, Pope raises Buenos Aires priest to the episcopate

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Fernando Daniel Rodríguez, of the clergy of the archdiocese of Buenos Aires, currently parish priest of the parish of Nuestra Señora de Luján in El Bolsón in the diocese of San Carlos de Bariloche, as auxiliary bishop of Lomas de Zamora, assigning him the titular see of Castabala.

Curriculum vitae

Msgr. Fernando Daniel Rodríguez was born in Río Cuarto on 10 November 1970. He was ordained a priest for the archdiocese of Buenos Aires on 25 October 1997.

He has held the following offices: parish vicar of the parish of San Cateyano in Buenos Aires; since 2003, fidei donum priest in the diocese of San Carlos de Bariloche, where he was parish priest in the parishes of Sagrado Corazón in Menucos, María Auxiliadora in Pulcaniyeu and San José in Dina Huapi; vicar general of the diocese of San Carlos de Bariloche (2014-2023); member of the College of Consultors and the Presbyteral Council; vice president of diocesan Caritas; member of the Commission for reporting abuse of minors; head of the School for the Permanent Diaconate and member of the synodal animation team.

Since 2023, he has served as parish priest of the parish of Nuestra Señora de Luján in El Bolsón.
