Eugene Greene (80) assaulted and raped altar boys in parishes across Donegal for decades before his horrific double life finally came to the attention of the gardai.
He was jailed for 12 years after pleading guilty to 41 sample charges of buggery, gross indecency and indecent assault on boys as young as seven-years- old, out of over 100 sample charges.
Now the disgraced cleric is due for release at the end of this year, some four years early.
Yesterday, a group representing Greene's victims, and their relatives, expressed its anger.
Brid Wilson, a spokesperson for Concerned Parents, said: "Young men have committed suicide. Some have left the area, never to return. Some are addicted to drink and drugs."
