Diocese of Meath revises clerical appointments

The Diocese of Meath has revised its summer clerical appointments, following the decision not to move Fr Liam Malone from Nobber and Carlanstown-Kilbeg to Duleek.

Two members of the Institute of the Incarnate Word (IVE) order who have been working in Ashbourne parish as curates are now moving to Duleek.

Fr Stephen Kennedy is to become Administrator of Duleek parish, with Fr Brendan O'Rourke as curate.

Fr David Bradley is to move from Kells, where there had been a campaign for him to remain, to nearby Clonmellon parish, where Fr Sean Garland is retiring after over 40 years as parish priest.

Fr Samuel Ozuman is moving from Clonmellon to be CC, Ballinabrackey.

Fr Jinse Jose becomes CC Ashbourne and chaplain to the Syro-Malabar community, and Fr Marcin Pietras, Diocese of Radon, Poland, to be chaplain to the Polish community.

Fr Mark English, as earlier announced, is moving from Duleek to Kells as parish priest, while Fr Martin Halpin is taking over as parish priest of both Summerhill and Kilmessan, where Fr Terry Toner is remaining on as assistant pastor.
