Head of the Synodal Department for Church, Society and Media Relations
Vladimir Legoyda says that talks about Patriarch Kirill's luxurious life
are groundless.
"He does not live in luxury. He has to cope with inhuman work load and
inhuman schedule. And he is provided a lifestyle that is far from a
lifestyle of a very rich person. I have friends who are involved in
business, their life standards are incomparable," Legoyda said on air
RTVI TV Channel.
The church official noted that he worked with the patriarch eight years
and he did not understand how he "bears the workload that he had to
face."
"So in this situation I cannot say that he had to drive Lada Kalina
or even go around by tram. These talks are empty," Legoyda said
stressing that "the patriarch is a person who does not have personal
time."
