The Uganda Episcopal Conference has warned the faithful that recent
priestly “ordinations” of two men by two self-proclaimed bishops were
invalid and illicit.In addition, the three priests who joined in the October 29 ceremony in Mubende were automatically excommunicated, Archbishop John Baptist Odama, the president of the bishops’ conference, announced in a public statement.
The prelate prayed that the priests “come to the realization of their mistakes, repent, and stop misleading themselves as well as misleading the people of God.”
