A priest was caught while viewing paedo-pornographic material in a vicarage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The 62 year old priest was caught red handed, by a member of the parish staff, who informed the police immediately.
The woman said she saw the priest looking at pictures of a boy who was naked from the waist down, on the computer.
Police officers found a number of photos of young boys on the priest’s PC and after a lengthy period of questioning, the priest admitted to being in possession of at least 100 pornographic images of children.
Since 2002, the Catholic Church in the United States has experienced a steep rise in the number of sex related scandals involving priests.
So far, total of two billion dollars has been paid out in compensation.
