Statement by Very Rev Francis Bradley on his election as Diocesan Administrator for the Diocese of Derry

The Diocesan College of Consultors met today and elected Father Francis Bradley as Diocesan Administrator for the Diocese of Derry.

The College thank Archbishop Eamon for his tireless work as Diocesan Administrator.

On accepting election, Father Bradley said: “I thank Archbishop Eamon for his leadership of the Diocese of Derry, as Diocesan Administrator.  I look forward to the appointment of a new Bishop to Derry in the coming months and, until then, will serve the people of the diocese as Diocesan Administrator.”

“I thank the Consultors for the confidence they placed in me and look forward to being of service and help to the priests, Religious and people of the Diocese of Derry.  I ask the prayers of everyone as I take on this new ministry.”
