An 82-year-old priest has been sent forward for trial to Galway Circuit Criminal Court on two sexual assault charges. The priest, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Loughrea District Court this morning.
He is charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy at separate locations in the west of Ireland over 40 years ago.
The man was remanded on continuing bail and will appear before Galway Circuit Criminal Court on 5 October.SIC: RTÉ / IE
