Catholics: 50 Church of England priests may join

The head of the Catholic Church in England and Wales says that about 50 Church of England priests have expressed interest in converting.

Five Church of England bishops opposed to the ordination of women have already announced that they will join a new Catholic order where they can serve as priests and retain some Anglican traditions.

Catholic Archbishop Vincent Nichols told a news conference on Friday that his church was responding to requests, and was not aggressively seeking Anglican converts.
