Cori marks 50th anniversary

The 50th anniversary of the Conference of Religious in Ireland (Cori) was officially marked with the opening of a two-day conference in Malahide yesterday.

Some 400 lay and religious delegates from all over the world attended the event, which was addressed by president Mary McAleese yesterday morning.

Entitled 'Walking the Way', the conference was billed as an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing religious life.
