Polish Church plans cell-phone system

Polish Church officials will soon unveil their own cell-phone network.

Vatican Radio reports that beginning this fall, the head of the Warsaw-Prague diocese’s Catholic radio station Father Maciej Chibowski will assume the position of coordinator of Poland’s first Christian cell-phone system.

While the name of the system will not be announced until the fall, it is known that the cell phones will offer text messages with passages from the Bible, the Liturgy of the Hours, and the saint of the day.

The system will also likely offer text messages with latest news about the Catholic Church both in Poland and around the world. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
