Word has reached Sotto Voce in the last few days in relation to the expected appointment of a successor to the current incumbent in the Diocese of Ossory, Ireland - Laurence Forristal.The names currently being bandied about are as follows:
Monsignor Jim Cassin
Fr Thomas Norris

Bishop Ray Field (currently VG, Auxiliary in Dublin Archdiocese)(pic'd alongside here)
Fr Vincent Twomey, recently retired Professor of Moral Theology at Maynooth and hotly tipped to suceed as he is also well known to Il Papa.....
In relation to the other 2 dioceses - namely Achonry and Down & Connor, word is expected in due course but Ossory takes precedence as it s bishop retired mid-summer last year.
You shall be of course notified as it hapens....maybe even before Il Papa knows himself...
