VENEZUELA - New impetus for Missionary Childhood and Adolescence with new communication technologies

http://www.fides.org/app/webroot/files/appendeds/33/primopiano_3306.jpgFive virtual meetings during 2017 for mutual enrichment of the national Directorates of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of the Bolivarian countries (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela) in the field of missionary animation for children and young people.

This commitment resulted from the Meeting of the PMS of the Bolivarian regional countries, which was held in Caracas from January 23 to 28, in order to coordinate and share experiences in each country of the region.

The meeting analyzed the work done with missionary childhood and adolescence, missionary activity through media and the goal towards which one wants to embark, summarized the PMS Director of Colombia, Fr. Mario de Jesus Alvarez, according to information sent to Fides.

The goal is to spread the material produced by the National Directorates for Missionary Childhood and Adolescence, in order to give it a new impetus so that this Society is strengthened through the use of today's communication technologies and is more attractive for the missionaries.

The results of this meeting will be communicated at the meeting of the national Directors of the Pontifical Mission Societies of America, to be held in March in the Dominican Republic, so that "all of America is an example to the world of a renewed, updated and more effective work for missionary childhood and adolescence, through communication techniques".
