Image result for bishop michael smith Meath :  Michael Smith (aka Mickey the Lisp)

* mitred as Coadjutor Bishop of Meath 10 October 1988, succeeded 16 May 1990

* considered a traditionalist and rules with an iron fist - not totally appreciated and no doubt he is disappointed at not going up the ranks a bit more (of which many are indeed glad)

* not seen as a worry in relation matters theological etc (safe pair of hands) will see out his time there

* turned 75 on 6th. June 2015 - many wondering why he has not been yet replaced as no shortage of conservatives in the midlands/west of Ireland to succeed - possible amalgamation of diocese(s) is being touted with a bishop already in situ in other diocese to which it may be co-joined so therefore an auxiliary is being considered
