Jesuit priest shot with rubber bullets during rioting at South African university

Image result for Father Graham PuginA Jesuit priest was wounded by a rubber bullet fired by police during a violent protest at a South African university.

Police used tear gas and rubber bullets to break up a student demonstration at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. 

Father Graham Pugin was struck in the face by a rubber bullet, reportedly as he appealed for an end to the violence. 

America magazine reports that Father Pugin was apparently providing sanctuary for students, and was shot when he tried to stop police who were entering the grounds of Holy Trinity church.
