On Saturday 24 September Pope Francis will receive relatives of the
victims who lost their lives in the tragic 14 July attack in Nice, with a
delegation led by Christian Estrosi, mayor of the city and governor of
the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region. The news was announced by Paolo Celi, President of the Amitié France Italie association which is sponsoring the audience.
Pope Francis had telephoned Mr. Celi in the days following the terrorist attack in which 85 people lost their lives.
Representatives of different religions will also be present.
