Pope sends telegramme on the opening of centre for abuse victims

Pope Francis has sent a telegramme imparting his Apostolic Blessing, to Don Fortunato di Noto, founder of a centre for victims of abuse in Italy. 

The telegramme is signed by Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin.

Below is a Vatican Radio translation of the telegramme:

"On the occasion of the inauguration of Meter House in Avola, for children who are victims of violence and their families, the Supreme Pontiff, Pope Francis gives his cordial greeting, expressing satisfaction with this opportune institution and encouraging a continuation on the path of selfless dedication in service of little ones, always filled with feelings of genuine charity and love of neighbour. His Holiness, asks you to pray for him, invoking the heavenly protection of the Virgin Mary and imparts to Your Excellency, Don Fortunato Di Noto, to members of the Association Meter and to those taking part in meaningful ceremony, his Apostolic Blessing, extending it to, with special affection, the children and their families.
