Pope invited to visit Azerbaijan

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade invited Pope Francis to pay a visit to Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office said on Monday during a meeting with Vatican's Minister of Culture, Gianfranco Ravasi.

"I meet with you for the first time, so I congratulate you and through you the whole Vatican with the election of the new Pope. I would like the Pope to visit Azerbaijan and through you I officially invite him to Azerbaijan," the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office said.

During the meeting the representative of the Vatican invited Pashazade to visit the Vatican.
